Typing test questions

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about timing, scoring, privacy, and certificates.

Is this typing test free?

Yes. Every typing mode and the full on-screen result are free. A downloadable PDF certificate is optional and costs ₹49.

What is a good typing speed?

A useful target depends on the work, language, keyboard, and accuracy required. Track your own progress on the same mode instead of relying on one universal benchmark.

How is WPM calculated?

Net WPM uses correctly typed characters divided by five, then divided by elapsed minutes. The result page also shows raw WPM and accuracy.

Can I take a typing test without a timer?

Yes. Choose No Time mode and select Finish Test when ready. You must type for at least 30 seconds and complete 150 characters.

Does the test work on mobile?

Yes. The website adapts to phones and tablets, although a physical keyboard gives the most realistic practice for office typing.

Are results saved online?

No. A compact score history is saved only in this browser for your private progress dashboard. Typed text and prompts are not included, and you can delete the history at any time. The full latest result stays temporarily in your browser session.

Will I get different typing text each time?

Yes. Every test mode has more than 100 unique practice items. A fresh page load selects and rearranges the items, so repeated sessions do not use the same sequence.

Can I refresh during a typing test?

The website blocks common refresh shortcuts and asks for confirmation if a browser refresh is attempted during an active test. Finish or restart first to avoid losing progress.

What is KPH in a number typing test?

KPH means keystrokes per hour. It estimates how many correct characters you could enter in one hour at the measured pace.

Why should I repeat the same test duration?

Using the same duration and keyboard creates a more consistent comparison. A longer test can also reduce the effect of a brief fast or slow period.
