Choose a passage you can recognise

The exercise menu lists each passage by its opening words and character count. Start with the original selection for variety, or choose a specific passage for repeated practice. A longer character count describes source length, not a formal reading level. All passages use prose; difficulty also depends on your familiarity with their words and punctuation.

Keep the source and your hands together

Try reading a few words ahead without losing your current position. If punctuation repeatedly breaks your rhythm, reduce your pace and copy each mark deliberately. This is a practice suggestion, not a promised increase in WPM.

How corrections work here

The timed input keeps the cursor at the end. Backspace removes the most recent characters, so a distant correction requires retyping the text after it. Correct recent errors when practical. A clean final sentence can still have lower keystroke accuracy because corrected mistakes stay in the entry count.
