Typing and result data
The typing test runs in your browser. Typed content and the complete latest result are stored in browser session storage so the results and certificate pages can work. A compact history of completed scores is stored in this browser for the private progress dashboard. It includes the mode, duration, completion time, WPM, KPH, accuracy, and mistake totals—but never the typed text or practice prompt.
Public certificate verification
When you explicitly consent before payment, TypingNova publishes your full name and typing result in an unguessable verification record. That record is public to anyone with the verification link. It includes only the approved certificate fields shown during checkout; it does not publish typed text, prompts, billing details, or a private PDF download link.
Verification pages are excluded from the sitemap and marked noindex to request that search engines do not list them. Anyone with the link can still open the page. A record may show Valid, Refunded, Revoked, or Removed. After a refund, revocation, or verified privacy removal, public personal/result fields and the private PDF are removed or anonymized promptly.
Payments and provider data
During an enabled certificate checkout, Razorpay processes card, UPI, and other payment details under its own privacy policy. TypingNova stores only the provider order and payment references needed to confirm payment, issue the certificate, handle refunds, and meet limited accounting, fraud, dispute, and legal obligations. TypingNova does not collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs, banking passwords, or one-time codes.
Anonymous first-party funnel measurement
TypingNova records anonymous first-party funnel events such as a test start, result view, checkout opening, captured payment, and certificate issuance. Browser events include only a temporary hashed session identifier plus coarse mode and duration. They do not include your name, typed text, prompt, IP address, raw user-agent string, card data, or UPI credentials.
Raw events are retained for 90 days and then deleted after non-identifying daily aggregate reporting is updated. Daily aggregates contain counts grouped by date, event, test mode, duration, and environment, without a session identifier.
Retention
Unsuccessful, expired, and abandoned payment attempts are minimized and deleted after 30 days. Webhook idempotency records are retained for 180 days without raw webhook payloads. While a certificate is valid, TypingNova retains its certificate metadata, private PDF, and the minimum provider payment reference needed to support it.
After a refund, revocation, or verified privacy removal, a minimal non-public transaction or audit record may remain only for the applicable accounting, fraud, dispute, and legal period. Before live payments, the exact statutory financial-retention schedule and support process must be reviewed; this does not extend publication of the certificate.
