Identify the assessment before practising
People use names such as Prove It, Kenexa, IBM, and SHL when discussing employment tests. A name alone is not enough to identify the current product or its rules. Read the provider and assessment name in your invitation. TypingNova is not affiliated with any of these providers; this is not the Prove It assessment.
What a form-based task may involve
SHL’s data-entry fact sheet describes transferring information from completed forms and checking data. Its separate numeric split-screen fact sheet describes number entry from source material into fields. These publications describe particular products, not every assessment bearing an older brand name.
Build a preparation checklist
- Confirm the time limit and whether the timer continues between records.
- Check whether the material is numbers, mixed text, or both.
- Read the rules for corrections, skipped fields, and incomplete records.
- Confirm the permitted keyboard and any accommodations with the provider.
- Use any practice material linked in your own invitation.
Choose an exercise for the skill
Start with three fictional records in separate fields to practise source-to-field movement. Use the alphanumeric test for letter-and-number references, or the 10-key test for digits and decimals. Our material, interface, and scoring are independently designed and do not predict your assessment score.
Read the result without inventing a pass mark
