About this alphanumeric record test
Alphanumeric entry combines letters and digits within a record or reference. This timed row exercise uses the same fictional record format as the main data-entry test. Its focus is accurate switching between character types, not a separate certification standard.

A reference is not a word
In a name, context may help you anticipate the next letter. In a reference such as TN-0042, every character needs checking. Copy leading zeros and hyphens instead of changing the reference into a number. Watch for O and 0, or I and 1.
Practise a field sequence

Compare like with like
